Can I use these pumps in my RV or camper?

Yes, for filling your fresh water tank from a barrel or jug, and for washing. Most RV plumbing is built for about 40 to 55 PSI. Our GOODPUMPS run at higher pressure, so for the onboard pump that feeds your faucets and shower, pick the High-Flow pump's 3.0 GPM, 55 PSI model. Not sure? Try the Pump Finder.

Diaphragm, submersible, or booster: which pump do I need?

Diaphragm pumps (GOODPUMPS) sit outside the water and pull it in through a hose. They build high pressure, so they're best for spraying. Submersible pumps sit inside the water: drop one into a tank, barrel, trough, or pond to move water out or up. The inline booster goes on a water line to add flow, like for a shower or a water heater loop. Not sure? Try the Pump Finder.

How do I hook up a 12V pump?

Basic steps for most 12V diaphragm pumps:

  1. Mount the pump on a flat, dry surface, close to the water source.
  2. Connect the inlet (suction side) to your water source, and put a strainer before it to keep dirt out.
  3. Connect the outlet to your hose, sprayer, or tank.
  4. With the power off, wire red to positive (+) and black to negative (−). Add an inline fuse on the positive wire, rated for the pump's amp draw.
  5. Turn it on. Let it prime and push out the air before you spray.

Don't let it run dry for long. Not sure about your setup? Email us and we'll help.
